New House Record | Fall League Wrap-Up | Summer Renovation Plans
Bowling News | By Dale Strom | May 06, 2008 |

Congratulations are in order for Jay Bradshaw for rolling the highest three game series ever recorded on the lanes at the new Bel-Air Bowl. Jay bowled games of 267, 300, and 299 for an astounding 866 series. What makes his score even more unbelievable is the fact that he had an open frame during his 267 game, meaning he rolled 34 strikes out of a possible 36!
Jay bowled his record series during the Casino Queen Master's League, which travels between four centers in the Metro-East area.
Fall League Wrap-Up
As the 2007-2008 bowling season winds down, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in our leagues this year. The season started off a bit rough as we finished up our renovations from the summer, but everything smoothed out quickly. Jeff, Brian, and all of the mechanics worked many long days getting the pinsetters in shape and we feel like their hard work has paid off.
Summer Renovation Plans
Here's a brief rundown of what we are planning to do this summer:
- All 32 of the old wood lanes will be replaced with synthetic ones.
- New ball racks will be installed with capacity for 22 bowling balls.
- New foul lights will be installed, along with new gutters and capping.
- Bumpers will be upgraded and installed on all 32 lanes.
- A new beverage bar the Spare Cup will open next to the control counter.
- The scoring system will be upgraded, and new monitors will be installed during the 2008 - 2009 season.
Everyone from the Wednesday Baseball League had a great time in the Cardinals Champions' Club!
